Role

A collection of permissions that can be applied to specific website users. Two roles, authenticated users (those users that have a verified log-in) and anonymous users (those either without an account or who are not logged in), are present by default within Drupal. Drupal allows admins to create additional roles as needed. Roles help secure your website by allowing users access to only the areas that are appropriate for that person.
